New animal virus hits 96 farms(Schmallenberg virus)

I've seen posts on DU about Schmallenberg virus, but this time I've heard that they are going to start testing humans.

"In addition, a test has been developed to check for antibodies and the RIVM is working on plans to test a large number of people to see if they have been exposed"

With global warming these bugs and their diseases will be spreading everywhere.

This disease mostly affects sheep but can affect cattle, horses and other animals.

It doesn't seem to hurt an adult animal but causes birth defects and abortions in pregnant animals.
