My take home message is he has no plans to approve Kestone XL pipeline at all.

He didn't leave himself any wiggle room on this one. It was alternative and clean fuels all the way.

His wiggle was "there is no single solution", which echos a refrain he's touched on in earlier speeches specifically about KXL.
And Transcanada continues to spend $millions laying pipe. It's a done deal.
