(18,641 posts)If the predictions come true, temperatures will continue to rise for decades or possibly centuries to come. The heat of this summer may become the bottom baseline.
It already is nearing uninhabitable tmperatures in some areas and is likely exceed that in the near future. It's getting scary shockingly fast. One would expect major climate changes to occur over centuries but it looks like it may only take a few years.
I wonder how cities will fare with Death Valley temperatures becoming common?
