At this time of year California's electric power is dirtiest between 7:00PM and 7:00AM

...is almost producing as much power as the Diablo Canyon Nuclear Plant is producing on a footprint of 12 acres.

Diablo Canyon is producing on its 12 acre footprint 2,258 MW and has been doing so within a few MW all damned day.

All of the more 1500 square miles of wind junk is producing almost as much energy, 2,202 MW of energy after hitting a low at 324 MW at 9:25 PDT this morning.

In 2022, overall, all the wind turbines in California produced less energy than Diablo Canyon.

Look for our "I'm not an antinuke" antinukes to declare a grand victory.

The sun is going down, and the peak power demand for the day is approaching.

One hopes that the wires don't melt because all of this wind and solar bullshit has done nothing to address climate change.

California's power is pretty dirty right now, even before the sun goes down, dominated by dangerous natural gas being burned with the waste being dumped directly into the planetary atmosphere, driving climate change.

I guess we should have a prayer group to make sure the wind keeps blows in California whenever extreme heat threatens human lives. Prayer has always saved human lives, or has it?

Heckuva job, antinukes, heckuva job!

Think. Again.

...those 'renewables' are doing a MUCH better job than the nukes, around 5X better! and that's not including hydro. But it's true, just the wind alone is about equal to the nukes.

And you're right, peak demand is coming as the sun goes down, they need MUCH, MUCH, more Hydrogen and other storage!

So my cooling load seems lower than yesterday.
Heck, if I had trees near the home, they'd be a fire hazard.
