How kelp and seaweed can save the world

Reading about data visualization, I found my way to an image that explains how kelp can help with our greenhouse gas emissions problem: a dry ton of kelp absorbs a ton of CO2 in its lifetime; kelp-based cattle feed reduces cows' methane emissions; it yields 30x more energy per acre than other biofuels like corn or soy without requiring deforestation, and more.

But I said I got here through data visualization, right?
