That's a little annoying...
Wind industry campaign donations are blowing toward Republicans, including presidential front-runner Mitt Romney.
Romneys campaign got a $2,500 donation from Denise Bode, CEO of the American Wind Energy Association, during the first quarter of this year a period in which more than 60 percent of the trade groups campaign contributions went to GOP candidates and parties, according to new Federal Election Commission filings.
Bode has given to Republican White House hopefuls before. She gave $4,600 to John McCains campaign in 2008, when she was CEO of the American Clean Skies Foundation, a natural gas advocacy group.
This time around, Rep. Dave Reichert (R-Wash.) was the biggest winner in AWEA donations, landing $7,500 from the groups WindPAC.

(11,489 posts)They are trying to buy influence and if they actually persuade Republickers to vote for wind power, how is that bad? Granted it helps get Republickers elected, but at least if they are elected, there is a chance they'll vote slightly less stupidly.

(58,162 posts)they are really active in illinois against wind power..big coal , the koch bros ,and tier minions are really organized against wind power.
They don't want to do any business? Walker chased them out of WI with his regulations change only to have it not make it through congress, so they have already pulled out and Walkers bill is dead. So no wind manufacterers here - how did Walker help them?
