2. I have on occasion worked in low-morale, dysfunctional shops...

...but nothing in my experience helps me comprehend the level of angst and dismay that I am certain many EPA civil servants felt under Pruitt's rule. Now, of course, it isn't all over yet, given the rise of Wheeler. But even that is likely to be an improvement. Those many of us across the USA who care about the environment as well as ethical, faithful, transparent government thank you, the EPA staffers who were instrumental in pushing this travesty of a human being out the door. The only easy thing about it might have been that you were dealing with another pollutant, this one a human.
