[font size=3]SAN FRANCISCO — Tesla and SpaceX CEO Elon Musk will keep his appointment at a Friday gathering of CEOs advising President Trump on business matters.

Musk tweeted a long statement late Thursday indicating that his decision was motivated by the belief that being part of such a committee was the best way "to provide feedback on issues that I think are important for our country and the world."

The decision comes on the heels of Uber CEO Travis Kalanick, who would have been Musk's tech world colleague on the Business Advisory Council, opting to drop out of the group. Kalanick responded after customers and drivers alike criticized the company for not taking a tougher stand on Trump's controversial immigration ban.

Many tech company CEOs have voiced varying levels of discontent over the immigration; tech companies rely on foreign workers with deep technology skills, some of whom hail from the seven majority-Muslim nations on Trump's ban list.

Uber CEO Kalanick did the right thing: walk away from Trump. When will the rest of the business world wake up? Loudmouth president making enemies around the world (threatening Mexico, insulting Australia, unreliable with allies such as NATO and Japan but still finding a friend in totalitarian Putin while he moves on Ukraine) and dividing America: does not create jobs.

The bullied car industry might say they will build plants in USA instead of Mexico, but that's just talk: they will dig a foundations, pour some concrete, then quietly hold on to $billions until the Trump chaos is over. No new jobs in small town USA. Who in their right mind will invest to start a business or a factory in this crazy time ??

What do you POSSIBLY think you're going to get from an administration dedicated to the proposition that there's no dinosaur technology or industry that's too expensive to prop up if their friends own it or run it?

Seriously, they HATE YOU, because you're smarter than they are in many, different ways.

They HATE YOUR TECHNOLOGY, because they don't control it, and they think that it's what the "tree-hugging libtard latte-sippers" drive.

They will do whatever they can to FUCK YOU, once they're done with the photo-ops and bullshit.

Get a grip, and walk before you poison the well for your supporters and customers.

I've never been a big fan of his car for billionaires and millionaires and have always considered his spiel to be cheap carny marketing.

He and Trump are made for each other, and always have been. I am totally not surprised.

The biggest and nuttiest Trump supporter - and happily I only know a few - I know loves to tell everyone about his Tesla car. He's an idiot.

Musk is a prime example of people exploiting "There's a sucker born every minute."
