What's wrong with "school reform"?

excellent website showing links:

"A fundamental struggle for democracy is going on behind the scenes in statehouses around the country, as a handful of wealthy individuals and foundations pour money into efforts to privatize the public schools.

The implications are huge. But the school privatizers—and their lobbyists—have so muddied the waters that the public does not get a clear picture of what is at stake."

Rather its opposite.

It ( "reform&quot exacerbates all and every preexisting problem w. public education: bureaucracy, nepotism, patronage, theft $$$, bad teaching ... you get the idea.

Wanna make schools better? Let's reform "reform".

We were once renowned and admired for our public school system by nations who had nothing of the kind.

Now we are the laughing stock of the world.
