I just did this for my son who is entering 1st grade. I was really impressed how easy it was. Is this common?
I was told to go to a certain website and enter the school number. A set of choices for different grades appeared. I chose 1st grade.
On the first day of school there will be a box with my son's name on it with the following:
2 - Dixon Pencils, #2, Oriole, Sharpened, Latex Free, Dz.
2 - C-Line Folder, Plastic, 2 Pocket, w/Prong, Red
2 - C-Line Folder, Plastic, 2 Pocket, w/Prong, Blue
1 - Crayola Crayons, Tuck Box, 24/Box
1 - Crayola Pencils, Colored, 7", Sharpened, 24/Set
1 - Crayola Paint Set, Watercolor, Washable, 8 Colors w/Brush
1 - Crayola Markers, Washable, Classic Colors, Wide Tip, 8/Set
9 - Elmer's Glue Stick, Washable, Purple, Dries Clear, .21 oz.
1 - Scotties Facial Tissue, 'Scotties', Hypo-Allergenic, 200 Ct.
1 - SchoolKidz Storage Bags, Economy Zip, Gallon, 20 Ct.
1 - Sentry/Telstar Headphones, Digital, Stereo w/Ear Cushion
1 - Staples Pencil Box, Plastic, 8.25" x 5.25" x 2", Asst.
1 - Bonus Items Bonus Items
The package cost $35. Not having to walk around Wal-mart searching for everything...priceless.

(11,330 posts)Its a really interesting idea and might actually work as a school fundraiser concept since a lot of parents might chose to avoid the back to school rush.

(34,172 posts)It says its a Staples company, but I really don't know anything more and there might be better vendors who supply the same service.
I was impressed with this service.
