Hey, people in the SF bay area!!!

Sorry if I'm posting this in the wrong place (noob here), but this job here needs to be filled ASAP, and I think I've seen several of you here that could meet this criteria:



The Alameda County Democratic Party coordinates the party's activities throughout the county, making endorsements, organizing events and directing resources to support local, state and national candidates. Its governing body, the Alameda County Democratic Central Committee, is charged under state law with overseeing the Party's local activities and campaigns, under the general direction of the California Democratic Party.

POSITION AVAILABLE: Executive Assistant

Location: East Bay, work from home/telecommute

Hours: Part time, approximately 20 hours per week.

The Executive Assistant is responsible for managing the Party's ongoing programs and operations, promoting the successful operation of a volunteer-led, member-run Democratic Party, advancing the goals of the Party, and at all times meeting the highest ethical standards for professional conduct and projecting a positive image for Democrats. Duties include the following, in addition to other related duties authorized by the Chair:

-Prepare & present a written report of work to the Committee monthly and keep Committee's Executive Board regularly informed of significant issues
-Manage email, voicemail, US Mail and responses
-Coordinate Committee's website, email communication, and social media presence
-Create forms, publications, and related materials to meet the Party's communications and organizational needs
-Train Committee and volunteers to use CDP technology and systems
Develop and maintain Party databases
-Manage Committee processes such as Endorsement and Club/UDC Chartering
-Support Committee Officers and duties
-Develop and coordinate the Party's pool of volunteers. Create and implement a volunteer development plan including an internship program (recruitment, contact management, communications, training, supervision).
-Implement the Party's voter registration efforts
-Support the Party's financial goals by participating in the overall fundraising plan
-Develop, share and update a calendar of fundraising events and opportunities; write and send periodic appeals; organize special events
-Coordinate data management, reporting, thank you letters

Our ideal candidate would be:
-Committed to social justice and the goals of the Democratic Party
-Proficient Microsoft Word, Excel and Google Docs.
-Able to work efficiently and independently on daily tasks and special projects
-An excellent multi-tasker who is able to finish duties in a timely manner
-Able to work efficiently and independently on assigned tasks and projects
-Available to begin work immediately
