I've been w/o a fulltime job since October, 2010 but there are limits to what

I'd do for salary.

Like I won't work for a law firm that represents management and/or employers. People have their own stories about working and I have been an employee for all of my working career. I can't see myself helping people stay fired.

But Krugman says it's finally starting to get better, so have hope!

You could take a job for the dark side, then, um, not give it your all if you know what I mean...

whose five children were removed FOR NO LEGAL REASON but under the fallacy of abuse and neglect. Most satisfying thing I've ever done. BTW, we got the kids back after 3-1/2 years in foster care!

Perhaps you'd be interested in doing some work in helping children with disabilities to get proper support from their school district? My wife and some friends with this, we find it interesting and satisfying. Badly-needed service, and at least here in Mass, there's a shortage of attys and they get paid pretty well ($250+ per hour).

Right now I'm in the process of applying to the Office of Parental Representation, an arm of the public defenders' office, to defend indigent parents whose children were removed. Too many children are being adopted without proper social programs to help the parents and the families reunify.
