Michael Lewis on the Next CrisisThe answer is yes, but I cant talk about it yet, because Im in the middle of a book about it. Itll come out next March.
And will that be before or after it erupts?
I cant actually tell.
That this guy is saying this makes me nervous. Of course he could just be cleverly promoting that next book...

Still makes me nervous.

(35,392 posts)Sam Malone scores with Rebecca Howe. He hands someone an envelope and tells them to open it and read it.
The person opens it and reads it. "On this date, m/d/yy, I, Sam Malone, will sleep with Rebecca Howe." (m/d/yy being the day he slept with R.H.).
The guys in the bar are amazed ... they say "How did you know this?" (or something like that ...)
Sam says "I write one of those every morning." (meaning, every day he DIDN'T score with R.H., he tore up that day's envelope).
A lot of these economists make good money (especially under a Dem President) predicting a "coming" economic disaster. No word when, just ... "a big one's coming!". And when something happens, they get to say "See? I TOLD YOU SO!" ("Um, hey ... what about those other 9,999 days when you were predicting it, and nothing happened?" - "You are a hater."

Nervous? I guess persons like me aren't because we aren't rich or knee deep in financial markets. I'm just another Josephine Schmoh. I should cut the soles off my shoes, live in a tree and learn to play the flute!
