If there's an equal pay day, shouldn't there also be an equal work day?

The President proclaimed April 9th as Equal Pay Day, to reflect the BLS data for average weekly earnings which report a raw gender wage gap($854 weekly wage for men vs $691 for women) of 23.5% for 2012. I'm not entirely sure where they come up with April 9th. 23.5% of 365 days is about 86 days and the 86th day of the year is March 27th, so perhaps someone can explain this to me.

Also from the BLS there's a raw gender work gap of 40%(3.74 average hours per day for men vs 2.67 for women). 60% of 365 is 212 days. This means that by August 7th, men will have worked as much as women will all year.

Is my math correct here?
