Cuba's ambassador to the UN rejects US unilateral coercive measures

United Nations, Jul 31 (Prensa Latina) Cuba's alternate permanent representative to the UN, Ana Silvia Rodriguez, rejected on Friday US ongoing unilateral coercive measures to tighten the blockade against Cuba in the midst of the Covid-19 pandemic.

Washington blacklisted a Cuban bank headquartered in the United Kingdom and blocked its assets, noted Rodriguez on Twitter.

The US has been attempting to render the Cuban people out of hunger and despair by taking those kinds of actions, but the White House will not succeed, the ambassador pointed out.

On Thursday, US authorities ratified sanctions against Havin Bank, the only entity established exclusively with Cuban capital and whose headquarters are in London.

Astoundingly perverted effort from Trump.
