Presstitutes Turn Blind Eye to UN Report on Venezuela Washington and the Convict Appointed to Overth

Washington and the Convict Appointed to Overthrow Venezuela Continue the Lies

by Paul Craig Roberts / March 8th, 2019

Don’t you think something is fishy when the presstitutes orchestrate a fake news “humanitarian crisis” in Venezuela, but totally ignore the real humanitarian crises in Yemen and Gaza?

Don’t you think something is really very rotten when the expert, Alfred Mauricer de Zayas, sent by the UN to Venezuela to evaluate the situation finds no interest by any Western media or any Western government in his report?

Don’t you think it is a bit much for Washington to steal $21 billion of Venezuela’s money, impose sanctions in an effort to destabilize the country and to drive the Venezuelan government to its knees, blame Venezuelan socialism (essentially nationalization of the oil company) for bringing “starvation to the people,” and offer a measly $21 million in “humanitarian aid.”

As the United States is completely devoid of any print or TV media, it falls upon internet media such as this website to perform the missing function of honest journalism.

I posted this yesterday on the same subject because many don't realize they're buying the corporate media line on what's going on there.

The US has been disrupting. overthrowing, occupying and assassinating in this hemisphere for over a century. Stephen Kinzer's book, "Overthrow: America's Century of Regime Change from Hwaii to Iraq" lays it out well. Whether the resource is/was bananas, pineapples, sugar cane or now oil, the US has done way more than meddle in countries from Honduras to Nicaragua to Hawaii even to strong arm, use paiu-off right wing puppets willing to go along and seize natural resources of other countries for corporate interests.

It's no secret and those here who preach anti-corporatism should be aware that this has been our policy for many decades and it is continuing in Venezuela. We are big time involved in the instability there.

This is what corporatism is really about, not some speech by a pol.

4. So glad to see you mentioned Kinzer's book. I've read it, too, and also have mentioned it to others.

This treacherous, utterly deceitful manner of seizing control has been going on a very, very long time, hasn't it? It's happened far too long for anyone to claim this situation is completely unique, and happening because of the country's own leftist politicians.

The U.S. has NO right to control ANY other countries, not now, not a hundred years ago, or more, and certainly not in the future, no matter how many fascists shriek their sociopathic lungs out.

So glad to see your comments, brush.

Venezuela's oil was nationalized January 1, 1976, 22 years before the advent of "Venezuelan Socialism" with Chavez/Maduro.

he says their "socialism" is being blamed for it.

7. Judi, I think this should be in the Foreign Affairs group,

since it discusses US foreign policy and propaganda more than it does Venezuela's internal affairs...

8. Thanks for the idea, Ghost Dog. It never would have occurred to me.

I've never taken the time to look into that forum.

Really appreciate the suggestion.

Making the information available to conscientious people is really important to me. They matter.

Thanks, again.

9. One Castroist (de Zayas) insists that there is no humanitarian crisis in Venezuela

...but a whole nation of Chavistas are outraged because they cannot get access to running water, food, medicine, medical care and reliable electricity? No mass communication (TV, radio, internet, newsprint) that allows for opposing opinions to Maduro?

Go here.

Aporrea.org.

These people are Chavistas who adore the memory of Chavez, but paint an entirely different picture of what is going on in Venezuela. They are tired of the endless parade of excuses coming from the cupola for the last 20 years.

There is no light, there is no internet, there is no telephony, there are no banks or points of sale: Agoniza el madurismo

You have to admit it! The madurismo has triumphed

If you read it in Chrome you can right click on the text to translate to English.

But the apologists lapdogs for Chavismo (de Zayas, Palast, Ciccariello-Maher, etc.) who don't even live in Venezuela are supposed to be taken at their word?

Maybe the likes of de Zayas ought to donate their fortunes to Maduro and move to Venezuela where they can live in squalor on 16 cents per day? (the official minimum wage)
