Maduro plans to "march to Washington" with signitures. Says (again) "NO HUMANITARIAN CRISIS"

Maduro says he will "march" to Washington with a letter signed by 10 million Venezuelans

The president Nicolás Maduro signed a letter addressed to the "American people" in which he states that his government wants to invade Venezuela, and assures that he will "march" to Washington to deliver the document along with 10 million signatures of Venezuelan citizens to demand the "cease interventionism and threats."

"I just signed for peace. I just signed the letter that we are going to send to the people of the United States. We will go to the White House to bring more than 10 million signatures asking for respect and demanding peace for Venezuela," announced the president.

Maduro revealed the content of the letter he is supposed to present at the White House. In it he reiterates the speech that the United States intends to execute a coup d'état and compares the situation with the takeover of Iraq in 2003.

He assures in the writing that an invasion would have "dramatic consequences for the region", and that Venezuela is a country that has expanded participatory democracy. "We are one of the countries with the largest electoral processes in the world in the last 20 years. We may not like our ideology or aspect, but we exist and we are millions," the document states.

He insists that the United States wants to use the "false excuse of a non-existent humanitarian crisis", and that in reality Venezuela has received "wounds" due to an alleged financial blockade and the "dispossession" of Venezuelan assets by countries aligned with Washington.

"With pride we continue to be a country with high development rates and the lowest inequality in Latin America," the letter highlights.

Close the letter with the request that the "economic siege and threats of invasion" cease. After reading the letter, he asked all Venezuelans to sign "for the respect of Venezuela."

Funny guy. Goes on and on about Venezuelan coups... forgetting the huge Chavista ceremony they had just 4 days ago, marking the Chavista coup attempt of 1992. I guess the irony was lost on him.
