Lights Go Out on Maduro Twice and He Rips an Aide in Public

The lights went out on Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro as he spoke to a group of reporters and government officials in Caracas.

Then they went out again.

He was busy explaining how the humanitarian aid that the opposition is planning to cross into Venezuela from Colombia is part of a macabre plan cooked up by Washington to intervene in the South American nation.

In the dark, Maduro asked his Electricity Minister Luis Motta Dominguez what was going on.

The CIA has trained iguanas to fornicate on transformers, thus making Bolivarian Socialism look bad when the lights go KABOOM!

Did you see the iguanas run down the length of the electrical wires? They are quite fast and cunning! Not seen, is where they jump into black sedans (Colombian license plates!) and speed off to safe houses!

But in Zulia, the sun is closer to Venezuela there. And that is why in the summer months the electrical situation gets difficult! Thus spake Lisandro Cabello!

But sadly, the problem, according to electrical workers in Venezuela, is that NOTHING has been done as far as maintenance and upgrades for the last 20 years. Towers topple not because of saboteurs, but bolts that are rusted through. Well guarded power plants and transformer stations erupt into fireballs because they haven't been given even routine maintenance, and the system is overloaded. Though it is true that a lot of copper wire is being stolen these days by thieves, since a country known for vast copper reserves doesn't produce copper anymore and thieves are stealing it only to sell it back to the Chavista enchufados, who sell it to the government at a huge markup (dollars only please)!
