Peru: former judge, accused of corruption, flees to spain despite travel ban

Last update: 18/10/2018

LIMA, Oct 18 (BERNAMA-NNN-ANDINA) -- Peru's ex-Supreme Court judge Cesar Hinostroza is said to have left the country despite a travel ban imposed by the Judicial Branch.

He is believed to be in Spain along with his wife Gloria Gutierrez Chapa, who flew on Oct 11.

According to El Comercio newspaper, Hinostroza entered Spanish territory through Madrid's Barajas Airport on Wednesday.

It should be noted the Public Ministry received the constitutional accusation filed against him on Tuesday —12 days after its approval at the Parliament's plenary session.
