Bolivia, Among Greatest Producers of Potassium Chloride
La Paz, Oct 8 (Prensa Latina) The inauguration here of the Industrial Plant of Potassium in the Salar of Uyuni, department of Potosi, Bolivia is today one of the world''s largest producers of that fertilizer.
In the opening act of this mega-plant, held the eve, President Evo Morales highlighted that the plant put into operation positions Bolivia in ninth place of the industry of potassium chloride worldwide and third in South America.
'Bolivia is not a tiny or beggar country any more, we have taken important steps to industrialization that will continue thanks to the Bolivian people, its struggle', he asserted.
The first phase of industrialization of lithium in this nation started in 2012, with the technological development process and the production of fertilizer test-plants, which were followed by a second one in 2015, with the construction of industrial plants of potassium chloride and lithium carbonate for export, which already have given results.
