Belimar López

What began yesterday afternoon of Monday, April 23, as a protest for food in the community of Yogore, Morán municipality, ended today with a wave of attacks by officials towards the demonstrators and that three people were injured .

Families, older adults and women with children in their arms, who were demonstrating, said that a commission of security forces arrived at the site and began to hear several detonations as a repressive measure to open the way. In the middle of the struggle two men were injured by pellets, in both legs and another, minor, was wounded in the right cheekbone . Another protester was also injured bumps and scratches on his back.

Witnesses say that in total there were six officials of the Bolivarian National Police and Polilara who attacked the group representing seven communities and demanded the food that was promised by government officials yesterday, food that CLAP has not received since more than two months.

Before the aggressions and mistreatment of the officers, the neighbors returned to shut up to demand answer by the bags of food and the cease of the aggressions of civil employees.
