Barren stores. Why there is no food, clothes in Venezuela

The SUNDDE banned stores in Sabana Grande keep inventories
"What came to us in January is what is on display, we can not have anything saved," said the manager of a business

One of the orders of the National Superintendence for the Defense of Socioeconomic Rights, after the December inspections, to clothing and footwear stores is not to maintain inventories, which are indispensable for business. "What came to us in January is what is on display, we can not have anything saved. What arrives must be sold," said one vendor.

He affirmed that the merchandise that arrives to them must be properly identified with a label where the price and details of the product are read because the supervisions of the Sundde are regular.

The manager of another store said that after the reductions imposed on December 2, which forced them to reduce the price of the merchandise by 50%, they have not received more. "I do not know if this has to do with the fact that a lot of the merchandise that was sold below the price was on credit, and now they do not want to settle for debts," he added.

Backstory: In December, Maduro's henchmen descended upon stores throughout Venezuela and unilaterally decreed that the store owners/managers were charging too much for their goods, and ordered all of them to slash their prices by at least half. Some prices, to pennies on the dollar. (Not that there are pennies or dollars in VZ) The result was what was expected. Withing minutes, the stores were picked clean by Chavista faithful, who got notice via social media that this was going to occur. When and where to be.

Now, shelves are barren, as store owners won't reorder any new inventory, as they don't know when the Chavistas and SUNDDE might pull an Act II. On top of that, the wholesalers are not taking "credit" from the retailers... cash only, and NOT WORTHLESS BOLIVARS. Euros or dollars only. Retailers don't have the cash to resupply, because they took a huge hit due to legal looting ordered by Maduro.

No clothing. No food. No medicine. Bolivarian Socialism.

DU told me Venezuela is paradise and anyone who says otherwise is spreading CIA propaganda.

It doesn't matter to them (nor the Chavistas in Venezuela) that children are dying of malnourishment. Eating poisoned food from garbage tips. That there are no operating dialysis machines in Venezuela (unless your are an enchufado... connected). The horror stories are endless. But to the faithful, these are planted stories, with staged pictures.

What matters is the Revolution. It must roll on. If some people have to die, then that's the price that must be paid.

Maduro (and Chavez before him) could allow in humanitarian aid with the stroke of a pen. But he won't, because getting humanitarian aid makes Chavismo look bad... and appearances are very important. Getting aid flies in the face of the Chavista narrative that things are going swimmingly, and its all just US and EU propaganda.

Of course there is some overlap.

They don't care if people suffer because they think they will "get a revolution here"
