Kids eating Venezuelan garbage poisoned, dead

Two children died in La Victoria for eating food from a garbage dump
Posted on February 13, 2018
by Brian Segura

translated from Spanish

The two children who entered the hospital in La Victoria, in Aragua state, allegedly for food poisoning unfit for human consumption, died moments after arriving at the health center as deputy Karin Salanova denounced through their networks.

The children respond to the names of Carlos Delgado, four years old, and Nohemí Delgado, six years old. They died for having ingested toxic grains, according to their mother's declaration . In exclusive contact with Caraota Digital , Salanova deputy informed that children join those already deceased during the carnival break by consuming contaminated food.

According to the deputy, these minors were poisoned when they went to a garbage dump and collected beans and oils to be able to feed themselves , which led to the poisoning.

Delcy Rodriguez: No humanitarian crisis in Venezuela
The president of the new Constituent Assembly on allegations of abuse of power and Venezuela's economic crisis.

Al Jazeera: Let's talk more about the dire economic situation in this country. You said the other day that there is no hunger in Venezuela. But yet, I've seen people, and I'm sure so have you, in your neighbourhood, picking through the rubbish. Some of the statistics, according to official data: more than 60 percent of Venezuelans are suffering from anaemia, infant mortality is at 30 percent, maternal mortality is 60 percent, cases of malaria are up 76 percent, a dire shortage of medicines, I could go on and on. Is that the fault of the United States?

Rodriguez: That's an important question. I have denied and continue denying that Venezuela has a humanitarian crisis. Because under international law by definition, it can facilitate and justify foreign interventions of international coalitions....

http://www.aljazeera.com/programmes/talktojazeera/2017/09/delcy-rodriguez-humanitarian-crisis-venezuela-170907060655166.html

Summary: There is "no humanitarian crisis", because a humanitarian crisis means having UN/EU/US relief workers distributing food and medicine, and that would undermine Chavismo... proving to all that we have lost control. However, if these people want to donate food and medicine clandestinely to Chavismo operatives, then Maduro et alli would be happy to take their skim, sell it to the bachaqueros, and offer the remainder to proven (Carnet de la Patria) Chavista voters.

". .allegedly for food poisoning unfit for human consumption."

Anyone who can't see a right-wing, opposition funded bit of "journalism" in this source hasn't been aware of the oligarch's bitter rage against the massive poor population since it elected a man who attempted to overthrow the monstrous author of "El Caracazo" massacre which resulted in Carlos Andres' Perez' dispatching his soldiers and police to mow down rioting people protesting the brutal price hike of their heating and transportation fuel out of their reach.

As everyone knows, who has ever bothered to keep track, to do his/her homework, US industrial/military support of the vicious right-wing opposition has been in place throughout the time following Hugo Chavez' inauguration. Who has never been aware of the riots surrounding the visit of right-wing vice-president Richard Nixon's visit to Caracas in 1958?

As anyone should be able to recognize, this is one struggle the power class of the US doesn't intend to lose, anywhere in the Americas.

Of course there are more than enough trolls to populate the message boards. Anyone who ever has kept watch over what has happened here, has seen a ton of decent, moral people hounded until they either left in disgust, or got trapped into snapping at one of the a-holes.

Very one pattern. New names seem to appear, sometimes they bugger off and leave.

Whoever wants to know about Venezuela would be well advised to start doing his/her own research, and in depth thinking and reasoning, because oligarchy serving interests will never give up. Do yourself a favor, start penetrating the wall of propaganda.

When anyone gets some time, it might be good to see what times this website, caraotadigital has to the Venezuelan oligarch community in South Florida, which they have decided to claim with the permission of the radical right "gusano" Cuban "exile" community.

I can remember a period of time the Cuban "exiles" told, among the other whoppers, the yarm that Cubans were eating the cats and dogs running in the streets.

Amazing.

They ARE the whopper meisters to consult for constant propaganda assaults against any progressive government or official. Their own dirtbag, Otto Reich was Ronald Reagan's Office of Public Diplomacy head, and he was sanctioned by Congress for his filthy propaganda blitz, trying to lie to the US public about Iran-Contra, using the US taxpayers' hard-earned tax dollars to lie to them through every outlet within his considerable reach.

Dirty "news" has been a staple of right-wing spun "news" officially since Guatemala in 1954, the overthrow of a progressive President, in a total propaganda blitz by

How the CIA and Corporate America Used Propaganda in 1954 to Overthrow a Democratic Nation:

the ideology and purpose of the propaganda campaign
In the case of the Guatemalan counterrevolution of 1954, the ideology was pro-capitalist, anti-communist, and pro-American. The purpose of the U.S.government's propaganda campaign was to remove Guatemalan President Jacobo Arbenz from power using the least amount of direct intervention possible and replace him with a leader sympathetic to U.S. economic and political interests and to keep communism outof the Western Hemisphere. The purpose of the United Fruit Company's propaganda campaign was to influence the American general public and lobby the U.S. government to act in its defense against the expropriation of land which occurred under Presiden tArbenz's agrarian land reform bill, Decree 900.

Occupation Public relations, advertising

Edward Louis Bernays (November 22, 1891 – March 9, 1995) is considered one of the fathers of the field of public relations along with Ivy Lee. As a member of the Creel Committee, he helped U.S. President Woodrow Wilson propagandize in support of allied war aims during World War I. He went on to design PR campaigns for politicians and companies such as General Motors, Procter & Gamble and American Tobacco. Combining the ideas of Gustave Le Bon and Wilfred Trotter on crowd psychology with the psychoanalytical ideas of his uncle, Sigmund Freud, Bernays was one of the first to attempt to manipulate public opinion using the subconscious.

He felt this manipulation was necessary in society, which he regarded as irrational and dangerous as a result of the 'herd instinct' that Trotter had described. Adam Curtis's award-winning 2002 documentary for the BBC, The Century of the Self, pinpoints Bernays as the originator of modern public relations, and Bernays was named one of the 100 most influential Americans of the 20th century by Life magazine.[1]

Overthrow of government of Guatemala

On behalf of the United Fruit Company (today's Chiquita Brands International), Bernays orchestrated political propaganda in concert with the U.S. government to facilitate the overthrow of the democratically elected president of Guatemala, Jacobo Arbenz Guzman. Bernays' propaganda (documented in the BBC documentary, The Century of the Self), branded Arbenz as communist and was published in major U.S. media. According to a book review by John Stauber and Sheldon Rampton of Larry Tye's biography, "The Father of Spin: Edward L. Bernays & The Birth of PR",

"the term 'banana republic' actually originated in reference to United Fruit's domination of corrupt governments in Guatemala and other Central American countries. The company brutally exploited virtual slave labor in order to produce cheap bananas for the lucrative U.S. market."

Guatemala -- 1954: Behind the CIA's Coup
By Kate Doyle

Most historians now agree that the CIA-sponsored military coup in 1954 was the poison arrow that pierced the heart of Guatemala's young democracy. Code-named "PBSUCCESS," the covert operation overthrew Jacobo Arbenz Guzman, the second legally elected president in Guatemalan history.

Over the next four decades, a succession of military rulers would wage counter-insurgency warfare that also would shred the fabric of Guatemalan society. The violence caused the deaths and disappearances of more than 140,000 Guatemalans. Some human rights activists put the death toll as high as 250,000.

In recent weeks, after five years of promises to come clean on the Guatemalan operation, the CIA has released 1,400 pages from its secret files on the coup. Those pages represent only about one percent of the CIA's records on the topic.

Still, the pages shed important light on the CIA's first covert operation in Latin America. Citizens can now examine the anatomy of a CIA covert operation, in all its gory details: assassination plots, paramilitary and economic warfare, provocation techniques, psychological operations, rumor campaigns and sabotage. Plus, because of its success in toppling Arbenz, PBSUCCESS became a model for subsequent CIA activities in the hemisphere, many of which also have included massive loss of life.

To those who won't want to settle for quick, stupid, hard to believe "news stories" designed to pander to one's lowest, and goofiest instincts, any time you decide to spend looking for the reality behind the cloud of propaganda surrounding Latin American history at US hands, please step outside your routine and dive into research. You will be more than rewarded, and will feel clean again once you start putting the pieces together to see through the ####storm US citizens have been handed throughout their lives. It time, as the world continues to get smaller, and people can gain awareness so much more easily, the truth will eventually become IMPOSSIBLE to bury any longer. Your own answers lie at your fingertips.

Spanish-Language Paper Altered Photos

By LAURA WIDES-MUNOZ
Associated Press Writer

July 28, 2006, 4:13 PM EDT

MIAMI -- The Miami Herald's Spanish-language sister paper acknowledged Friday
that it manipulated two photos to make it appear that two Cuban police officers
were ignoring prostitutes gesturing to a tourist.

The image, which appeared June 25 in El Nuevo Herald, combined two previously
published pictures -- a 1994 photo of the officers by El Nuevo Herald photographer
Roberto Koltun, and a 1998 picture of the women and tourist by John Moore,
then a photographer for the Associated Press.

Executive Editor Humberto Castello said the newspaper failed to explain to readers
that the picture did not depict a real event. AP guidelines prohibit altering or
manipulating the content of a photograph.

El Nuevo Herald said it will offer a seminar to its photographers, graphic artists
and editors on ethics and design.

From another post on the same DU thread:

Clues to Deception: In the doorway, there is a sharp variation in light between the right and left sides. Note the difference in perspective between the police officers and prostitutes. The police officers cast shadows. The prostitutes don't.

The most-honored Spanish newspaper in the United States is ethically challenged
By Chuck Strouse
Article Published Jul 27, 2006

A striking, five-column color photo was splashed across the Sunday, June 25 edition of El Nuevo Herald. It showed four spandex-clad prostitutes in Cuba hailing a foreign tourist. Just a few feet away, two policemen conversed with a little girl and a woman. The headline: "Hookers: The Sad Meat of the American Dollar."

The cops obviously didn't care about the working girls — a clear sign of the hypocritically wanton ways of Fidel Castro's Cuba.

Problem is, the picture was a fake. Indeed it was just the kind of manipulated combination of two images that prompted the Los Angeles Times to fire staff photographer Brian Walski in 2003. Walski, you may recall, altered two photos of an American soldier to make them appear as one, more dramatic image. Several papers unknowingly published the combo on their front pages, and Thom McGuire, a Hartford Courant assistant managing editor, said the incident made him "sick to my stomach."

El Nuevo's sin was worse. Its image — on page 27A — appeared with the caption "The government has proven incapable of confronting the dramatic phenomenon of prostitution" and a story about a book on Cuba's working girls by author Amir Valle.

Clearly TeleSur (and their bosses at RussiaToday) has your attention, as well as "alt-left" websites such as CounterPunch.

Does the reporting from UPI, Reuters, AP, CNN, MSNBC, ABC, CBS, NBC, PBS, NPR, New York Times, Washington Post, L.A. Times, Chicago Tribune, Cleveland Plain-Dealer, The Guardian, The Independent, the Atlantic, Bloomberg, and even Al Jazeera pass muster with you?

Are the reports filed by the above organizations from Venezuela falling upon deaf ears, because such reporting of FACTS doesn't align with your worldview?
