And then they came for the men of the clergy, who dared speak out against tyranny

Maduro demands prosecution of bishops of Lara for "Hate Crimes"

Maduro about Monsignor Basabe's speech: "Nobody believes in these devils with cassock"
Ingrid Méndez Lárez January 15, 2018

The President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, spoke on Monday about the controversial sermon offered yesterday by Monsignor Víctor Hugo Basabe, Bishop of San Felipe, during the welcome Mass of the Divina Pastora in Barquisimeto.

During the presentation of the Report and Account before the National Constituent Assembly, the national president indicated that it is a group of the Catholic Church that is full of "evil, poison, hate".

"Nobody listens to these people, nobody believes in these devils with cassock, we love the creator God, we love the Divine Shepherdess," he said.

He urged the Attorney General, the Ombudsman and the Procurator of the Republic to "check" if the words issued by the Bishop of San Felipe correspond to "real hate crimes that seek to generate confrontations, violence, death, exclusion, persecution ..."

And what vile, hateful things did these DEVILS say?

Monsignor Basabe asks to avoid the path of the curse
Juan D. Vílchez V, January 16, 2018

(translated from Spanish)

The visit 162 of the Divina Pastora to Barquisimeto was extraordinary from the religious point of view, because the Route of the Beatitudes was covered as planned by millions of parishioners who expressed their love for the Excelsa Patroness, from their departure in Santa Rosa to the Metropolitan Cathedral of Barquisimeto.

Although it was a wonderful journey because of devotion and affection towards Our Mother, the procession - somewhat dispersed - was punctuated by the needs of Venezuelans, which made it atypical in comparison with previous years.

The Via Crucis lived by the citizens accompanied our beloved Virgin for the 7.5 kilometers. With prayers to her, people took advantage of the moment to intercede before God for Venezuela. In each corner and each step of the venerated image before the eyes of the devotees, expressions of freedom were felt without any limitations...

[blah blah blah... get to the good stuff!]

He recommended that "we do not choose the path of the curse that has been committed by those who deny that there is hunger and malnutrition in Venezuela, who close the doors to those in the world who want to come to our aid, refusing the possibility of opening a humanitarian channel, and allow to get food and medicines to Venezuela, who deny - although they see it with their own eyes - that thousands of Venezuelans are looking for what to eat in the trash, who insist that everything is fine and that we have food to feed to multiple nations, when the truth is that every time there is a lack of everything; who are determined not to understand that the fundamental cause of the evils lies in the persistence in a political, social and economic model, denial of God and human dignity" he said.

Wow. This Bishop needs to be taken to The Helicoide, to atone for their sins against El Finado and his personal representatives here on earth, The Great Bus Driving Mustached One, St. Nick of the Maduro and Our Lady of Delcy, the Cuban patron saint of Gucci hand-baggery and Hermès scarves!
