Anarchy and the high crime rate that prevails in Venezuela also seems to have infected the barracks, reveals an alarming letter from the military prosecutor general addressed to the Minister of Defense, who expresses "great concern" for "an excessive increase" in cases of robberies , desertions and abuses of authority.
The document, which the New Herald had access to, outlines the need to urgently create a high-level working table to address a problem that threatens to get out of control.
"I respectfully request that you
study the possibility of implementing a working table with the Directors of Military Personnel in order to set points of view and seek solutions to this problem that is deteriorating our Bolivarian National Armed Force," said the military attorney general , Brigadier General Edgar José Rojas Borges.

The prevailing thought in Chavismo is that all problems can be solved if enough high level Chavistas can form enough committees and "working tables in Miraflores".
Not that it has worked yet, with lack of food/malnutrition, medical care, rampant disease, exploding infant mortality, teen pregnancy, few children attending schools, hyperinflation, lack of birth control, crime, collapsing infrastructure, etc...
