Guatemala's Top Court Rules President Can't Expel Anti-Corruption Commissioner

Guatemala has lived days of intense political confrontations following President Jimmy Morales's attempt to expel Ivan Velázquez, the current chief of the UN-backed International Commission Against Impunity in Guatemala (CICIG), by declaring him persona non grata.
Now, the Constitutional Court of Guatemala has stepped in, suspending the president's decision and declaring that he acted illegally.
Many Guatemalans saw the court's ruling as a step forward in the struggle against corruption, and a reason to celebrate online:
