Investigators said four men have been convicted in a $16 million drug money laundering scheme involving funds wired from North Texas to Mexico.

. . .

Jurors on Monday also convicted Rivas, who's from Mexico, of conspiracy to distribute methamphetamine. Prosecutors said Rivas ran the drug ring using money services businesses linked to Torres, Centeno and Olvera, who are from Dallas.

Investigators said the companies transmitted proceeds since 2013 from the distribution of methamphetamines via wire transfers to Michoacan, Mexico.

Each man faces up to 20 years in a U.S. prison. Sentencing is pending.
