Olimpica.
I never knew until today, that it was a Mexican Waltz.
Today, on the passing of my aunt, my cousin's mother, I remember them through this waltz.

(5,902 posts)I recently lost very good friend of mine who, while he was a Boston Jewish/Italian, also loved Latin American culture in general and Willy Bobo in particular. He was 73, and, I believe, once met Bobo in New York - as well as Poncho Sánchez, Joe Cuba, Tania María, and other Latin/Brazilian Jazz greats.
Sometimes when I think of him, I put one of those albums on to remember him by. Between you and me, I often suspect the departed do in fact listen in (you never know!).
Here's to your wonderful aunt - and to you, my good sir.
All the best.

Thank you for sharing this interesting song, another example of songs written by Mexican composers you've shared with us, composers we should have heard more about already, if we lived in a rational world.
