Venezuelan women push past border controls for food

http://www.bbc.com/news/world-latin-america-36722422

About 500 Venezuelan women in search of food have broken through border controls separating the western state of Tachira from neighbouring Colombia.

The women said their families were going hungry because of severe food shortages in Venezuela.

Hours later, they crossed back into Venezuela carrying basic goods and singing the Venezuelan anthem.

Venezuela is going through an economic crisis and many Venezuelans say they struggle to feed their families.

Literally love with hunger does not last. The "love" that many Venezuelans had for this farce of a "revolution" has run out. If Chavismo cannot even guarantee that they can keep their stomachs full, how do they expect they'll have support of the people? The more they drag this on, the smaller the chances Chavismo will have to ever come back as a legitimate political group in the shaping of Venezuela's future. I think many Chavista leaders are secretly hoping that Maduro is ousted or resigns sooner than later, as every day with him in power seals the PSUV's fate more as nothing but an inept and corrupt band of criminals that left Venezuela in ruins.
