Brazil VP Accidentally Releases Speech of Rousseff Impeachment Before It Has Happened

http://www.telesurtv.net/english/news/Brazil-VP-Accidentally-Releases-Rousseff-Impeachment-Speech-20160411-0034.html

Vice President Michel Temer, who is facing possible impeachment due to corruption and other charges, accidentally or purposely leaked an audio of his speech as if the lower house of Congress had already voted in favor of impeaching embattled President Dilma Rousseff.

But the vote is not expected to take place until late this week or early next week.

The vice president's speech begins, “At this moment, I want to speak to the Brazilian people to discuss a few things that should be confronted at this point.”

“Now, when the lower house has voted, by a significant number, to authorize the installation of the impeachment process against Mrs. President, many have asked me to give a preliminary word to the Brazilian nation," he said in the speech.

He goes on to say, that “We still have to wait and respect the sovereign decision of the Senate,” who will decide on the impeachment procedure against the Brazilian president only after the lower house votes, which is expected to take place later this week or early next week. “I will await respecfully the Senate's decision.”
