Chilean exile doctor was killed in Mexico

The doctor and activist Chilean Venancio Queupumil Cabrera, who was exiled during the dictatorship of Augusto Pinochet, was killed during an assault on clinic property located in the city of Cuautitlan Izcalli, where he was living a few years ago, according to the portal the Mexican newspaper Proceso, The Public of that commune, located in the state of Mexico Security, reported the doctor's death 60 years in clinical Santa Isabel.
According to the Aztec newspaper account, Queupumil was killed last Thursday when two men posing as patients entered the clinic, tied him up and shot him multiple times.
The prosecution denied that the motive for the attack has been stolen, because the attackers left the scene without taking valuables. The doctor was active in the Communist Party and current member of the Proletarian was Rumbo. He left Chile with the help of Amnesty International.
The doctor also was a candidate for mayor of Cuautitlan Izcalli in 2012 by the Citizens Movement party. In his Twitter account, Queupumil indicated that he was a surgeon trained in Havana, Mexican Mapuche blood and by adoption. Retired IMSS. So far mexiquenses authorities do not have clues to the homicidal or have made an arrest in the case.
