HAVANA, Cuba, Feb 1 (acn) Cuban Revolution leader Fidel Castro received former Uruguayan President, Senator Jose Mujica, who visited Havana to attend at an international forum on the life and work of National Hero Jose Marti.

In statements to reporters at the residence of the Uruguayan ambassador in Havana, Pepe Mujica as the former president is best known said that Fidel was concerned about the spread of the Zika virus in the world and focused on the development of ranching, while he is studying technical issues that may favor the important food sector for the people.
I had quite a long conversation (with Fidel) and we talked about countless issues. He perfectly recalled the last time we met and I confess that I saw him better than the previous time, he is always bright and with the most diverse concerns, Mujica said.

Fidel Castro and Pepe Mujica previously met in January 2014 and in July 2013.
According to Uruguayan media, Mujica returned home on Saturday after meeting a tight agenda in Havana, which included the international forum, the attendance of the Casa de Las Americas Literary Prize ceremony, and he also accompanied President Raul Castro at the traditional Torch March, held on January 27 in homage to Jose Marti.
