Heh. Venezuela's Maduro pressured Paraguayan military commanders to stage a coup for Lugo...

Paraguayan Minister: Maduro tried to encourage military revolt
Venezuelan Foreign Minister Nicolás Maduro harangued Paraguayan military commanders and encouraged them to defend President Fernando Lugo before his dismissal, Paraguayan Defense Minister María Liz García de Arnold told reporters on Thursday.

"Maduro harangued the Paraguayan military to react to the situation that was affecting former president (Fernando Lugo). He (Maduro) asked them to respond at that time, based on the fate of former president Lugo," said Paraguayan Defense Minister María Liz García de Arnold, AFP reported.

She added that Maduro was accompanied by Ecuadorian Ambassador to Paraguay Julio Prado.

She stressed that despite the insistence of the Venezuelan diplomat, the commanders of the Armed Forces "chose to respect the decision of Congress."

I'm sure we can believe in the Paraguayan Defense Minister of a government suspended from international organizations for a possible coup d'état when she accuses Hugo "the Devil" Chávez of plotting a Bolivarian coup to help Fernando "Populist" Lugo transform Paraguay in Cuba.

And it's no coincidence Angel Vallovera was dismissed.

more evidence.

The Committee on Foreign Affairs of the Paraguayan Chamber of Deputies declared on Wednesday “persona non grata” Venezuelan Foreign Minister Nicolas Maduro, for his comments on the political crisis in the country, calling it “open interference in internal affairs” of Paraguay, reported notitarde.com.

The statement added that Maduro’s criticism also constituted a “clear threat” against “the determinations of Congress under the Constitution in force.”

While the Chavistas will continue to see only what they want to see here, this actually comes to no surprose to some of us.

I call total bullshit that Marduro wasn't trying to stir shit.

Don't get me started on Brazil's ulterior motives.

Dang Paraguay, should given Lugo an appearance of due process (we know it wasn't necessary due to a charge of malfeasance, but what can we do?).
