A woman 7-mos pregnant was denied a purchase of diapers because she doesn't have a birth certificate for her baby. The management of the store is reviewing her case.
Chavista policy requires that mothers provide birth certificates for their children if they wish to buy diapers.

(135,425 posts)She wants to get her layette ready before she gives birth, and I think she makes a good case. Who wants to go out shopping for diapers right after giving birth? That's what's being placed upon her. Having a child after seven months, too, isn't all that rare.
It's a stupid policy. I mean, really--look at all the "rich capitalists" they're thwarting, here:
Another Maduro dumble-bumble.

(160,621 posts)Where DOES your source get its "bonafide" material, anyway? I've noticed you've used it before today.
Why don't you use one of those "reputable" oligarchy-owned Venezuelan sources for all your material, like the ones who aided in the failed coup against Hugo Chavez in 2002?
Seems they would have the chance, at least, in getting more accurate info. than some outfit near Washington, D.C.

I use maduradas quite frequently actually as they publish the daily idiocies of the chavistas. Here is another, be sure you use your chavista approved translator.

No, I don't believe it. I do believe a woman needing to buy diapers for a baby soon to arrive can get them. Period.
I think this story is bogus.
