A Venezuelan man accused of terrorizing Newtown, Conn. residents by pretending to be Sandy Hook mass murderer Adam Lanza has been arrested in Miami.
Cardenas Hoffman, 30, of El Hatillo was arrested Saturday after allegedly phoning dozens of residents just two days after the Dec. 14, 2012 shooting spree and threatening to kill them, according to the U.S. Department of Justice.
"This is Adam Lanza. I'm gonna [expletive] kill you. You're dead. You're dead. You hear me? You're dead," Hoffman said in one call, according to federal authorities.
In another message authorities say Hoffman specifically mentioned using his "machine gun" to gun them all down in a sick nod to Lanza's own heavily-armed slaughter that left 20 kids, six staff members and his own mother dead.
