Bolivian president proposes emergency meeting on Venezuela's unrest

LA PAZ, Feb. 18 (Xinhua) -- Bolivian President Evo Morales on Tuesday proposed that the Union of South American Nations (UNASUR) call an emergency meeting on Venezuela, where a recent unrest resulted in three deaths.
"Venezuela is not alone," Morales said during an interview with Venezuela-based TV news network Telesur, adding regional blocs, such as UNASUR -- the Community of Latin American and Caribbean States and the Bolivarian Alliance for the Americas -- have shown their support.
He also accused the United States of fomenting unrest in Venezuela to topple the government of President Nicolas Maduro.
The tension in Venezuela was a result of an international conspiracy to derail the socialist reforms spearheaded by late president Hugo Chavez, Morales said.
