Related: About this forumMaduro announces expulsion of 3 US embassy workers
&feature=youtu.beDuring a live transmission, Maduro announced that 3 US embassy workers would be expelled for conspiring against the nation.
Ya know, all these accusations he makes against the US kinda end up being ridiculous since they never show any definitive proof about them. Looks like Maburro and his ilk are getting desperate and need a new scapegoat to blame their problems on since blaming the students apparently didn't really help. One need only take a glance at the march he called for on Saturday in which the chavistas that attended were barely able to fill 2 blocks.

Problems with your own people? Blame the Yanquis. Economy going to hell in a handbasket? Blame the Yanquis. Not popular even with your own supporters? Blame the Yanquis. It really gets tedious after a while. Perhaps he can at least change it up a little, blame the Masons or the Illuminati or someone else for variety's sake. Maybe he can ape Chavez and blame the Jews next. Stay tuned.

Speaking before thousands of supporters gathered in downtown Caracas, Maduro accused conservative former Colombian president Alvaro Uribe, whom he regards as a US ally and foe of Venezuela, of "funding and directing" the "fascist movements" he blames for the unrest.
Maduro's elected socialist government has also taken Colombian news channel NTN24 off the air, saying it was inciting anti-government violence.

Things aren't looking too good for Maduro. Time to "liberate" more TVs, refrigerators and washing machines for the people.

(9,688 posts)3. I wonder why the US is looked at askance by Central/South American progressives?
Beats me.

all of Venezuela's problems are the fault of the US.
