He said "it is the gaze (mirada) of the fatherland that is in every place, even in phenomena that have no explanation"
Unfortunately, he said, "as it had appeared, it then disappeared, so that you can see that it is true: Chavez is everywhere, we are all Chavez"

(770 posts)He seems to understand he is increasingly isolated, Jorge Arreaza had a fight with him and he may fire the poor VP. And there was a demonstration by retired military because they don't get raises. To make matters worse Capriles has an audience with Pope Francisco next week. And the CIDH is reviewing Venezuela's human rights record....

(6,837 posts)Maduro named him the Protector of Miranda. Chavistas still have not been able to bribe an opposition politician into voting for the enabling law. They won't bring it up unless they know it will pass. Currently they are attempting to strip two opposition members of parliamentary immunity. Once those members are expelled they will have the majority they need to grant Maduro dictatorial powers.
This is an auto-coup.

(507 posts)City Hall, which was composed exclusively by ruling party members... the exact same people who had just lost the election.
They even emptied the elected City Hall of its functions and threw the Mayor and his team out of the official building with their militias - guns in hand - showing their extreme contempt and disregard for the people of Caracas.
DUers should note that all the Venezuelan regime supporters in this forum who constantly fill their mouths with the words "democracy" and "inclusion" applauded this obviously anti-democratic and exclusive measure. I still wonder how...

http://www.noticias24.com/venezuela/noticia/203863/maduro-advierte-de-un-ataque-masivo-de-la-derecha-internacional-contra-su-cuenta-en-twitter/He's claiming he noticed that he had suddenly lost several thousand twitter followers, both in his account as well as in other governors', and that this was an attack instigated by Twitter itself and the "right-wing fascists". Never thought I'd see the day that a president of a country would complain on live public television that he lost a bunch of followers on a social network. As if there weren't more important problems to talk about, of which there are many
UPDATE:
Now it's to the point that chavistas are calling to block Twitter... by announcing it on Twitter

I'm just glad these idiots can't expropriate a multinational website like Twitter. They can maybe restrict access to it, but then that'd be very fascist-like now, wouldn't it?
