Residents tried to lynch the local police chief and he was rescued by the national guard and the intelligence service. CICPC officials have been implicated in the murder of 4 fishmen.

The Ven information minister stated that 20% of crimes were by police. Given the 20,000 murders annually thats quite a bit.
