Santos approval rating at 43%

http://colombiareports.co/santos-approval-rating-rises-43/

Colombia’s President Juan Manuel Santos has seen his approval rating rise slightly, although he is still perceived negatively by more than fifty percent of the country’s population.

The figures, released on Monday by news website CM&, are the result of a survey about the image of the President and his government after 37 months in office, carried out by the National Center of Consultancy.

His government is disapproved by 58% of those surveyed, with 60% considering the country to be heading in the wrong direction.

A survey by pollster Ipsos Napoleon Franco at the end of September, released by RCN radio and weekly Semana, estimated the chance of Santos’ reelection at just 19%.

Santos may be toast if he doesn't get that peace agreement signed.

better hope that FARC does better about honoring whatever commitments they make than in the past. Colombians want to see ALL the people being held hostage by FARC released. If that doesn't happen in relatively short order Santos' popularity will be less than Boehner's.
