I was curious about flights to Caracas. From Miami in November the lowest fare is $1400. American Airlines is $2600
Lowest price a 4 weeks from now $2600
Round trip to Bogota from Miami on same dates $390
Make your travel plans early chavistas. This is really going to help their tourism industry. This is a result of government policy where travelers receive a debit card purchased at the official exchange rate if they can show an airline ticket, but simply get dollars with the card and sell them on the black market for 7 times official rate.
