All he has called for is a full recount of the votes, which he has every right to call for, and millions of Venezuelans (likely all the 7.3 million that were supposedly the ones that voted against Maduro) share that sentiment. And the government is not willing at all to do the recount. Why? If they're so sure about their victory, they would gladly accept the full recount, but they're not, so this only increases suspicions.

the urging that everyone respect the popular vote is amusing considering that with about 48% of the popular vote the PSUV took over 60% of the national assembly seats.
