Chavista regional leaders talking about Capriles' sexuality during a meeting in 2009

Last edited Sat Mar 3, 2012, 10:46 AM - Edit history (1)

Good to remember.

"We are here to say the truth in front of those who follow you (Capriles), shameless, traitor, fascist, thief, homosexual. And we say that you're gay because we have proof: once with a lady in a brothel (casa de punta de caramelo), you declared yourself gay in front of her. We have the name of that lady, so that you all know who you have for State Governor."

This, of course, was aired a every single day by our "public" television.

But, as some try hard to sell in this forum, the chavistas are supposed to be the progressives and everyone going against them can be assimilated to the US Tea Party movement. We often read this logic here. Weel, the truth is that chavistas point out a political leader for (supposedly) being homosexual, just like the religious conservatives would do in the US.

Hate eats you up. Ask Breitbart...oh wait, he's dead.

Or ask the latest tumor they pulled outta Hugo. I suspect that tumor left a few friends behind.

I heard that the Russian doctors attending railed at the "botched" nature of his earlier surgery by Cuban physicians, and had a substantially abbreviated opinion regarding Hugo's prognosis.

See what happens when you put ideology before common sense?

He's loved by a good deal of Venezuelan's, and as I watch the campaign I see pure love for the man.

The hate and vitriol is one sided there. It's almost as if the chavistas have taken a playbook out of right wing dirty American politics.

What's unfortunate for them is that they don't seem to understand that it doesn't work.
