Hillary Clinton
Related: About this forumCan I trust this guy to run a country?
The whole "my wife does my taxes and we don't have time to print a copy" thing makes him sound like just some unprepared private citizen trying to run for president. That coupled with his inability to answer how he'd accomplish his key issues in the NY interview.... I dunno about this guy. If he can't print a freakin tax return how can he handle the complicated ISIS war in Syria, Iraq, and Afghanistan?

(2,117 posts)If she uses turbotax she could sign in from any laptop, download it, email to press. What the hell?

(34,458 posts)I'm paranoid about privacy) she would have to access the computer on which she prepared the return -- OR request them from TurboTax, which anyone can do. Hardly onerous for anyone who WANTS to do it.
But did she definitely use TurboTax?

(2,117 posts)that lack of preparation makes me not trust him enough to put our lives in his hands. Do people realize they are putting their lives in the hands of the president? They don't care how prepared he is?

(11,619 posts)If he told the truth about his income, that should be easy. Print turbotax is one of the easier options on that piece of software, and copies are stored on PDF on his hard drive.
I don't believe he can't print them. If he can't, that then how can he run a government.

(685 posts)- what he calls his greatest legislative accomplishment: getting 11 already liberal senators to vote Yes on the ACA, thus making part of the law his amendment to add funding for Veterans to obtain health care services outside of the VA.
Those 11 hold outs were liberals who wanted the single payer option restored, so not exactly like negotiating with republicans.
And yes he's the amendment king but unless the amendments become laws how does it help anyone?
I believe the actual number in his entire legislative career is over 500 amendments passed, 43 became laws. (Some, he co-sponsored).
So that's what, less than 10% ? Again, admirable but not particularly earth shattering.
If this was baseball, he'd be traded not made captain of the team.
And by the way, not to split hairs here but that actual legislation basically says, this government program isn't working (the VA) so here's some money for you to obtain services in the private sector.
What's the word I'm looking for here? Ah yes, irony.

(3,284 posts)if Hillary still hadn't released her tax returns? There would be such an uproar. I'm so tired of this self-righteous man. I'm tired of the fake public image of him as an endearingly genuine crusader for "the people," when the truth is that he's your standard old hypocritical politician.

(20,450 posts)And the fanatical BSers would, too!
BS is getting away with murder!!
He could hit and run an old lady and their reaction would be "but Hilary's taken money from Wall Street!"
Everything Hillary does seems magnified by the press and social media to be 10x worse (because she's EVIL SHILLARY!). And Bernie gets the opposite treatment; they perceive his worst gaffes as "good intentions" gone wrong and then give him nauseatingly cute nicknames like "Birdie" Sanders.

wasn't making minimum wage. Not sure if either of them is collecting their Social Security, since Sanders is still in the Senate.
They probably have money stashed overseas and they don't want anyone to scrutinize their returns.
How stupid does his wife think the public is? My husband works for H&R Block during tax season - for the past 7 years. He's laughing at the excuses coming from them. They (or anyone who has their SS#) can go on line at the IRS site and get ALL of their past filed tax years!!
