She wants to federalize the primary process because she doesn't like states having different rules.

I'm not kidding. I haven't seen any indication that she is, or if so, how long she has been one.

It's a big job. A full schedule. Juggling, multi tasking, delegating. She can't seem to handle interviews and releasing tax returns at the same time.

And we're to believe she's First Lady material?

I know we don't vote for her per se, still...

I don't know about you but, I'm missing Michele Obama already.

Think of it...we're gonna be without a First Lady for 8 years ( I'm already counting the re-election chickens before they hatch)

...if the role of First Gentleman will markedly different from the traditional role of First Lady. Will he be referred to as Mr. Clinton? What will his project/ theme be? Michele Obama emphasized healthy eating and living. Laura Bush I think emphasized literacy....wonder what Bill will hone in on, if one theme at all.

Gonna be interesting times!

She's arguing for an often contradictory campaign and has to juggle their misleading statements while trying to sound like a rational human being. I've seen 2 interviews from her today and the interviewers took her to task more for the often contradictory language of the campaign more than they ever had Sanders, Weaver, or Devine.

Also to be fair (something that the Sanders' campaign hasn't been in months), outside of designated tax person, the only real job of a first lady is to not sink your husband's career. They may do other things (such as Hillary did with expanding healthcare to kids), but I would assume that their public statements of support/campaigning are more of a "I'm supporting my husband because I love him" type of thing than a (as the Sanders' campaign has tried to argue) "This is my definitive political view on the issue".

Ceremonial, she represents our country for us...gives speeches, hosts events, meets and greets constantly. It's an actual job to be First Lady.

I never particularly liked the optics that it was a job without a salary, yet another woman whose labor isn't compensated...plenty of perks to be sure, but the optics of a woman working for all of us for free never sat well with me.

Just sayin'

My initial post used jobs and seemed to diminish the work done by first ladies. I did not mean to do that. What I was referring to was the political nature of the job. You can't tank your husband's career and anything outside of glowing support for their positions/continuing various unpaid positions, isn't acceptable.

It upsets me to no end that the Sanders' campaign believes that everything Hillary did as first lady is fair game, when it's been show that when given her own voice and vote, she sometimes acts differently. The whole Hillary Clinton as first lady was responsible for the Crime bill and NAFTA narrative that Sanders is trying to push are irresponsible.

I didn't mean to counter what you were saying, in fact I agree that the number one goal is to steer clear of controversy...

I was just musing about how old fashioned (and kinda sexist in its lack of salary) the role of First Lady still is...

They do realize that even with Super Delegates voting as the voters did in their states alone, Hillary would still be far ahead because she's won larger population states which have more SDs? In the case where they would vote their conscience -- as she also indicated they should -- Hillary would still come out ahead. So, what's the sense of making this argument since they would still be losing by a large margin? My next question is in general and NOT directed against Mrs. Sanders... How can any sane person be so opposed to SDs given the circus atmosphere on the right?

No need to go home to Vermont to get the returns. Just logon, sign it to Turbo Tax and print. I thought she seems defensive and evasive on the whole subject.

Something doesn't add up.

That was my impression, also. I got the feeling that she thought if she just talked and talked, she could run this thing out and avoid a real answer. Her answers re taxes (Turbo Tax..and you have to "look for" your returns? Please.) and the superdelegates were almost Palinesque.
