I am now officially an economic advisor to Senator Sanders, and this column reflects some of that advice. Part of my advice is not to take money from Wall Street felons. (I am not taking credit for Bernie’s decision — at most I supported a decision he had already made over a year ago.)

Also as a criminologist and former financial regulator, Bill Black can definitely help Bernie Sanders strengthen his message on Wall Street’s corruption and greed. He’s going to be fantastic member on the team

I'd bet Hillary and Bernie have no idea how many felons support them - up to $2,700 during primary, but we are only required to identify our employer when making contributions, as a means of verifying our legal status to donate.

Unless it is Bernie's position that anyone who works on "Wall Street" is somehow a corrupt, greedy felon - which would be exploitative divisive insanity.

I know voting laws very by state but I assume any one doing time lose their voting rights. When they complete their time, then the can vote again, at least in some states.

His statement made no sense all and he's a criminologist?

Sanders has money to burn and he seems willing to spend it in any way he can to bring Hillary down. It doesn't have to be true, it just has to be right before a big primary. We have already seen he is capable of nasty smears. I am guessing he'll pay for any fiction he can pass as fact for a few days.
All he has to do is repeat it a few times. The media loves grasping at any made-up Clinton scandal!

On beating up Wall Street. Many of us have relatives, neighbors and friends who work downtown. And we know them to be good, hard working, kind and generous people.

my friends kids who work on the trading floor, my best clients who are engineering geniuses working for Bank of New York and my friend who owns a hardware store in the area. I don't even live in NYC and half the people I know are connected to Wall Street.

Tell me, are there shoe stores in Manhattan that carry sneakers with targets painted on them? Bernie seems like he just bought ten pair.
