They're Now Ignoring The Delegate Math Completely

"over there."

"WY was a Sanders victory, even though Hill won 4 more delegates than BS. The media says it was a BS victory, so it was. He won the raw vote, so it was a victory, and a victory that added to his streak of victories," etc, etc.

Yes, that and a Metrocard (not a subway token) will get you downtown, as the saying goes (the saying in NYC used to be "that and a subway token will get you downtown," back when they used tokens. Sanders campaign, take note: no more tokens).

At some point, everyone is going to have to accept the fact that it's all about the delegates. The person with the most wins. It's really quite simple.

I'll be interested to see how Hillary's pending victory in NY is characterized post-voting. One can only imagine the pretzels that will be twisted to claim she lost.

to whine "we was robbed."

It's unfortunate that so many Americans hold the conceit that reality is whatever they say it is. I suppose we shouldn't be surprised. After all, we live in one of the most-Christian countries in the world, and the whole of Christianity is based on myth and fantasy that is treated as reality. When you're allowed to define your own reality, what need of facts?

Closer to our time, the vast majority of Americans believe that JFK's murder was the result of a vast conspiracy. They believe this because they saw Oliver Stone's movie once upon a time, even though Stone himself characterized said movie as a fiction, and even though all the objective evidence confirms the findings of the Warren Commission (how many people do you know who say they don't believe a word of the WCR, even though they've never read it?)

Ultimately, it comes down to the very human penchant of avoiding personal accountability at all costs. Personal screw-ups are much easier to handle when we convince ourselves "it was god's plan." Hell, even though we all know deep down inside that 10 out of 10 human beings die, we acted shocked whenever someone dies, even if they're extremely old. Rather than admit the obvious, we feel duty bound to come up some grandiose reason for each death (god needed him in heaven, his heavenly family was calling him, etc).

Reality isn't as forgiving as the faux reality we create to get us through the day.

Somehow they'll have to face facts when Hillary stands on the Capitol steps and is sworn in as President of the United States.
