Bernie Sanders just proved he is no better than Republicans

As if all the unqualified comment wasn't enough and his attempts to claim the high road while attacking Hillary, he topped the week off by mixing religion with politics.

I left church and have not returned over this and I sure as hell will not support a candidate who dose this.

a Catholic meeting is mixing politics with religion.
The subject of the meeting is not religious, but a secular one concerning economics and human conditions.
This thread is a grand example of poutrage if I've ever seen one.

Sachs has an admirable record, no doubt about it. But he is also an advisor (paid? I don't know) to Sanders, and has been vituperative in his denunciations of Hillary Clinton. I hope he will be called upon to clarify his role in this affair more precisely. Sanders is the first one to rail against any perceived lack of transparency, covert quid pro quos with powerful organizations, and appearances of undue influence. If one of his (paid?) advisors, who is also a known insider at the Pontifical Academy and has organized conferences for them in the past, finagles an invitation to a conference, and then Sanders tries to spin it as a moving honor from the pope, that is pretty low.
