Hillary Clinton
Related: About this forumBernie people are trying to say that Missouri flipped from Hillary to Bernie.
Well, I have to disagree.
The person posting does not understand the process.
Missouri already had their primary with it being Clinton: 36 and Sanders: 35 delegates.
That is in stone unless the results of any congressional district or state-wide votes change enough to flip that way.
The poster claimed that after a convention held Thursday that the flip occurred. But per the Missouri Delegate Selection Plan as I believe it occurs the same in every state that held a primary the convention only determines the delegates that will go to the National Convention. The plan specifies that delegates must designate their presidential preference and they can only fill a slot that has been allocated for that candidate. In addition, any delegate must be approved by the presidential candidate. Only Clinton delegates can run for Clinton slots and only Sanders delegates can run for Sanders slots.

(51,103 posts)If the automatic delegates are paying attention or they are receiving campaign updates with that info. The Senators have known him long enough to be wary of him. The DNC members would be the only possible crack Sanders could have but most of them are savvy about politics.
