Thanks for nothing Wisconsin Sanders supporters. HRC ROOM

Why a race further down the Wisconsin ballot rattled Democrats

David Weigel

Wisconsin's luckless Democrats, gerrymandered into a minority and unable to retire Gov. Scott Walker (R-Wis.), went into Tuesday night hoping for a breakthrough. They saw a decent chance to defeat Rebecca Bradley, a conservative justice appointed to the state Supreme Court by Walker. Her opponent, JoAnne Kloppenburg, nearly won a seat on the court in 2011, before late-counted ballots from conservative Waukesha County did her in. And Bradley took a crucially-timed hit when reporters and the advocacy group One Wisconsin Now revealed far-right newspaper columns, with impolitic fulminations about gay rights, from her college years.

"There was an enormous drop-off," said Brandon Finnigin of DecisionDesk. "There was a substantial number of voters in that voted for Sanders, then for nothing else."

How are they going to manage their revolution with RWNJ judges blocking their every step? Talk about short-sighted.

Local judges have a lot of power. These people can FU people's lives so fast. Destroy a Family, a community, the weak, the disenfranchised.

NOT!

Hand this country to the likes of those "revolooshunneries? Never.

On the other hand...could those same voters be nothing but Ron/Rand Paul voters? Because it's clear that the Republican won which tells me that they voted for Bernie but then turned around and voted Republican down-ticket. This could be a sign of how things will happen in the G.E.

Anger at the allegedly stingy Sanders voters has roiled the online left all day. Bradley won 1,017,233 votes; Kloppenburg won just 925,929. But 1,004,636 people voted in the Clinton-Sanders contest. While the judicial race was nonpartisan, Democrats were informed that Kloppenburg was their candidate, and Clinton used a speech in Milwaukee to endorse her.

There's a reason we were fine with such people not voting: because they're terrible human beings. And the fact that they didn't vote for a Democratic judge only proves that they're trying to boost Sanders and no one else, because they think Sanders will lose to the GOP much easier than Clinton.

This morning, some progressives picked a culprit: voters who cast ballots for Democratic presidential candidate Sen. Bernie Sanders (Vt.) and left the rest of their ballots blank. According to exit polling conducted by the independent group DecisionDesk and BenchMark Politics, perhaps 15 percent of Sanders voters skipped the Bradley-Kloppenburg race; just 4 percent of Hillary Clinton voters did the same.

But the article tries to give Sanders credit for mentioning Kloppenburg in one speech made the day before the election. Did he think that would make some giant impact? He really IS loving the smell of his own farts, isn't he?

Reason: they think just electing BS will solve all the problems. When he himself has no idea how. He is in fact relying on them, his revolution to change things. Fail

I'll admit, the first time I voted, I was unprepared for some of the down ticket
races, and yes, I left some of them blank when I realized I didn't know much...
or anything...about those candidates.
I wonder if an influx of new/young voters did similar, propping up those, "voted
only for the headliner" numbers.

Though, regardless of how it came about, very sad news.
